My Skin Care Routine (June 2010)

My skin care routine of June 2010, from left to right in above picture:

My Skin Condition:

A bit sensitive, combination type, and acne-prone skin. 

Oily at T-zone with some blackheads around nose area. 

Cheek area is normal but my skin is very thin and prone to reddish.  

Cleansing

I'm using dermalogica special cleansing gel. I've been using this cleanser for more than 4 months, I did a review here before. 

Toning

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence 

It is a transparent watery serum, but I use it as a toner. 

Normally I use cotton pad to apply toner, it helps to do a second cleansing as well as light peeling effect. But I apply this serum by my hands, because it is pricey and I don't want to waste too much on the cotton pad. On the other hand, it can absorb better with help of the hand temperature.

   

This so call "miracle water" contains more than 90% Pitera, which helps revitalize the skin's natural renewal cycle to its optimal condition for complete nutrient absorption. It also works to balance skin's pH and sebum secretion, I can feel my skin is well moisturized and less oily appearance on my T-zone area in the afternoon. 

I should have tried this serum earlier, I love it and I have already stored up one more bottle.

Wigs - Rinka Hairdo, Bob, Curly~

I got three wigs last weekend, one short bob style, one Rinka hairdo style and one long curly style. It's my first time to try wigs, so excited!!

Rinka Hairdo Wig:

It is named after a Japan fashion model Rinka who is the first one wearing this hairstyle. Rinka has varied ability and natural fashion style.

The one I bought is shinny yellowish brown which does not fit my yellow skin tone very well. This wig makes my head look very big, lucky my head is small. Even though, I still love this wig. It also looks great with hat and hair decorations. 

'When Yellow meets Blue' - Nars Eyeshadow DUO Star Sailor & Rated R

It's the first time I wear this FeshLook Brilliant Blue color lens. I've been thinking what kind of eye MU matches with the bright blue lens, and the first color pops out is yellow~~ lol~~~

Simple Way To Create Bigger Eyes with Double Eyelid Tapes.

My eyes have double eyelids, why I still need double eyelid tapes?

Look at my side view in below picture, my eyes are very puffy and myopic eyes cause them pop up even more obvious. Therefore people can't really see my double eyelid when I open my eyes, they are more like monolids, my eye makeup is not visible as it is always hid inside my double eyelids.  

Xian recommended this "Pink Lady" double eyelid tapes to me, so I decided to try how my eyes will look with the tapes. I think that's the most simplest way to "open up" my eyes instantly.

I bought two packs from Sasa. There are 30 pairs of 3M made transparent pre-cut eyelid tape, 3 sizes are available, S, M, and L. It's the first time to try it, I totally have no idea which one is going to work for me, so I just picked S and L to try.

Let's see the result....

Review: Chantecaille Compact Makeup (updated)

Update on apply Chantecaille Compact Powder by using powder brush.

I used my MakeUpShow H01 Powder brush to apply Chantecaille Compact Powder in this morning. My face did look much better than using the original sponge. I think the reason is brush picks up less powder so that my face did not look powdery and it can apply the powder more evenly than sponge. 

Xian also tried her Hakuhodo S100 angled finishing brush to apply this powder today. You know what, I asked her "are you sick?" the first moment when I saw her yesterday, she said no, but her face looked so dull, especially the T-zone area. She has combination skin type by the way. I passed her a mirror and she said "Oh my god, I just used my Chantecaille powder 'bamboo', I didn't see clearly when I rushed out, oh no.......I picked up the wrong color........". And she kept complaining she looked like dead the whole day, so funny. 
Today she looked much much better than yesterday, the color  'Bamboo' matched her skin quite well. 

So my conclusion is for combination to oily skin, use powder brush to apply this Chantecaille compact powder is much better than using the original sponge and it gives you natural transparent look with light coverage.
